The majority of the richest people in the world have their own super yacht. Roman Abramovich the Chelsea Football Club owner has one. James Packer the Australian multi-millionaire has one. Even the French president Nicolas Sarkozy spends a lot of time on one.

If you have the money you really cannot blame them. Having your own yacht is a real symbol of wealth and owning your own super yacht is just that little step further. That shows you have some serious wealth behind you. If you have a super yacht you have made it for sure.

Most Expensive Yacht in the World

Currently, the most expensive super yacht is called “Dubai” and owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It is valued at a cool $300 Million.

The yacht so all the features you would expect of the most expensive yacht in the World including a helipad, health spa, huge swimming pool, gym and even its own submarine!

The interior was created by designer Philippe Starck and would certainly not have come cheap. It can accommodate 24 people at any one time in a series of luxury suites. All of the suites have their own private balconies.

Of course, not every multi-millionaire can have their own super yacht of the size of “Dubai” but even the smaller ones don’t come particularly cheap. You will still be paying several million for a 4-6 berth yacht. You also need to consider the mooring fees involved which can be a lot of money depending where you want to keep your yacht.

But if you can afford to buy a super yacht, then I’m sure the mooring fees won’t be too much of an issue!
