Russian Space Hotel to Cost $1 Million Per Visit

Posted on 18 August 2011

A Russian company named Orbital Technologies has just released its plans to build a hotel in space.

The aptly named Orbital Technologies Space Hotel will take 2 days to travel to and will cost $1 Million per visit. 7 guests at a time will be flown out to the hotel by experienced astronauts to stay in the 4 guest cabins. There is also the choice of having vertical or horizontal beds!

The space hotel is set to open in 2016.

Of course this isn’t the first venture into space tourism, with Richard Branson preparing his Virgin Galactic company to fly visitors into space and then back down to Earth.

If space is your thing and you have the money, you’ll soon be able to experience it for yourself.
